Premiere Products acquires FCM
The acquisition of the FCM Group by Premiere Products (The Premiere Polish Co. Ltd.) represents one of the most significant changes to hit the UK cleaning industry in recent times. "For a number of years Premiere have considered entering the larger battery powered machinery market sector but we decided that simply sourcing an expanded range of machines was not the answer, this venture fulfils that objective." The acquisition, which includes TecServ, the FCM machine service division, will provide the professional cleaning industry with the ultimate cleaning supply solution. Kevin Day, Premiere’s UK Sales Director “We firmly believe the purchase of the FCM group is wholly complimentary to Premiere’s core business and promises both FCM and Premiere customers a genuine service solution across the broadest of spectrums; Chemicals, machinery, janitorial, machine servicing, training and consultation, all existing within a single integrated operation.”
Robert Burtinshaw, Chairman of FCM said. “This is the most positive move that FCM could have made to allow it to step up to the next level as a company. It was very important for FCM that we joined forces with a like minded company and we know we have found that in Premiere. The combined size of the two companies will allow us to compete with any player in the market place.”
In the short term the focus is on relocating FCM TecServe to a new 10,000 sq ft site in Peterborough whist a product profiling centre is created at Premiere’s head office and 8 acre manufacturing plant in Cheltenham.
Both Premiere and FCM believe that this is a highly positive move for their customers based on synergy, shared values and objectives. The focus is directed towards offering all their customers what they want, at the right price and with the first class service they deserve.
